Large Cruiser Training (Reliance)
This course aboard Reliance – our C&C 29 – introduces the skills needed to handle a larger cruising sailboat. Topics include boat handling‚ auxiliary power and anchoring‚ there will be a detailed review of boat system‚ crew recovery‚ and other safety procedures. This course includes a Large Cruiser evaluation‚ weather and conditions permitting‚ possibly leading to an Endorsement. With an Endorsement‚ members may sail Reliance during Open Sail‚ in conditions appropriate to their Rating and by reservation.
This is a three-day course (T-TH) with Friday reserved for a make-up day.
Prerequisites: Heavy Air Rating required or experienced Medium Rated Skippers‚ rated for at least one year‚ may receive instructor consent to take the course.
