Yoga for Sailors
Get into tip-top sailing shape at yoga class‚ which starts promptly at 7:30 a.m. most Monday and Wednesday mornings in the MCSC’s Windhover room‚ followed by freshly brewed coffee.
Sessions are designed for people with some yoga experience‚ but anyone can follow along. We do basic‚ low impact vinyasas (routines) and standing and supported poses designed to protect and strengthen the legs‚ hips‚ shoulders and back and to build range of motion.
Bring your own mat‚ water bottle and coffee mug. MCSC Staff‚ Instructors and Volunteers are encouraged to attend too!
About your instructor: With two decades of advanced instruction in the Iyengar method‚ Nick Hayes helps his students find ways to work around physical barriers and fear to build conditioning‚ core-strength‚ stamina‚ and a commitment to self-care
