Featured Event with Sailing Magazine Editor Erin Schanen
Erin Schanen is the editor of SAILING Magazine‚ a national magazine known for its stunning‚ large-format photography‚ honest reporting‚ expansive feature articles. Founded by William F. Schanen Jr. in 1966‚ SAILING is the oldest continually published sailing magazine in the United States‚ and the only major sailing magazine to be independently owned. Erin represents the third generation of the Schanen family to lead the magazine‚ which has weathered dramatic changes in print media and the sport it covers. She will tell the story of SAILING’s genesis‚ its major transitions‚ the personalities brought to life on its pages and how it brings its tagline “The beauty of sail” to life year after year.
