Milwaukee Weather 101
Milwaukee’s shoreline has a unique microclimate that means conditions are not always what were forecasted for the city itself. Join Ken Quant as he takes you through a lesson in basic weather and the localized influences of Lake Michigan. Learn how and why the local sailing breezes change throughout the day‚ the season‚ and how this all affects your sailing. He will also discuss the importance of reading the clouds to help keep you ahead of the weather and safe from any approaching summer storms.
About your instructor: After nearly drowning in a storm sailing a Hobie Cat in his teens‚ Ken Quant realized he better learn about weather. Five credits and 45 years of sailing later‚ he lifts the clouds to revel the secrets of our local winds.
