Introduction to Sailing
Never sailed before? Sailed once or twice but unsure about what was going on? Thinking about learning to sail? Then this class is for you. MCSC Director Holly Church will teach this is a dryland introduction to the basic concepts of sailing. Learn how and why it works‚ some of the parts of the boat‚ the points of sail‚ driving and adjusting sails‚ tacking and gybing (what sailors call turning) and more.
