Assuming you and your team have a solid grasp of sailing upwind and downwind and can manage the maneuvers‚ racing tactics — the decisions made in response to condition and competition — are what separate competitive sailors from non-competitive sailors.
In this deeper-dive seminar‚ Nick Hayes will break down sailing tactics including starting‚ approaches‚ hovering‚ diving‚ slows‚ covering‚ herding‚ breaking cover‚ the lee bow‚ luffing‚ blanketing‚ separation and leverage‚ with ample time for questions.
It is recommended that participants first attend "Basic Racing Tactics"‚ the week prior‚ in order to develop a common vocabulary.
