This course aboard Reliance – our C&C 29 – introduces the skills needed to handle a larger cruising sailboat. Topics include boat handling‚ auxiliary power and anchoring‚ there will be a detailed review of boat system‚ crew recovery‚ and other safety procedures. This course includes a Large Cruiser evaluation‚ weather and conditions permitting‚ possibly leading to an Endorsement. With an Endorsement‚ members may sail Reliance during Open Sail‚ in conditions appropriate to their Rating and by reservation.

This is a three-evening course (T-TH) with Friday available as a possible make-up day.

Prerequisites: 10.1‚ 10.2 or equivalents and a Medium Air Rating required. An Endorsement‚ if issued‚ will reflect the member’s current wind Rating.
