Sailmaker’s Loft Tour
We will travel to Racine to visit Nielson Sailmakers‚ one of the last remaining design-build sail lofts in the mid-west. Sailmakers Chris and Mickey Nielson will walk us through their entire process‚ from computer-aided design‚ material selection‚ cutting‚ assembly and finishing‚ and they will share repair tips and techniques. We will have pizza or sandwiches in the loft courtesy of the Nielsons.
We will travel with up to 30 tour-goers and will organize drivers and cars to commute from MCSC to Racine and back.
