Seven Years of Liveaboard Cruising

Featuring MCSC friends Lisa Alberte and Russ Whitford

Comparing liveaboard cruising with chartering is like comparing a long-term relationship with speed dating. Lisa Alberte and Russ Whitford will share the rewarding lifestyle of full-time cruising and give ideas on how others can join them out there. They will cover what is required for a boat and equipment‚ and‚ importantly‚ the proper mindset and techniques to ease into life afloat.

Expect to leave with answers to questions like:

• How much money will you need?
• What if you change your mind mid-trip?
• What does diet and exercise look like?
• Where will you find health care?
• Can family come visit?

About your presenters: Lisa and Russ (Popeye) and dog‚ Sophie sailed Uproar‚ a First 42s7 from Milwaukee in July 2015. They sailed through the Great Lakes‚ Erie Canal‚ Chesapeake‚ Bahamas‚ Caribbean‚ Bermuda‚ Venezuela‚ Colombia‚ Panama and on to Galapagos and French Polynesia. In the seven years that they have been full time cruising they have sailed 37‚000 nautical miles.
