Wingskating and Wingskiiing
"Winging" is a catchall category of sailing done by one person holding a "wing‚" or lightweight‚ inflatable foil designed to be held overhead. The foil can deliver sufficient lift to propel a "winger‚" who might be standing on a paddleboard‚ surfboard‚ longboard‚ snowboard‚ skates or skis. Wing skating and wing skiing are the forms of winging most commonly done in the winter on ice or snow.
In this seminar‚ winging expert Bob Cook‚ who teaches our summertime wing-foiling clinics‚ will explain how you might begin winging in the winter. Bob will share videos‚ explain winging in general‚ describe the differences in the equipment‚ share locations and timing of places to wing‚ and answer questions.
Attendees can choose to be included on a group text list to be invited to wingskating and wingskiing events and demonstrations‚ when the weather is right.
