All About PFDs (Life jackets)
Life jackets‚ or PFDs‚ are one of the most important safety devices for a sailor. In this class we’ll discuss when to wear one‚ risks with NOT wearing one‚ and what types to wear in various scenarios. We’ll also talk about inflatable life jackets vs. traditional foam types.
Do you own an inflatable life jacket? Have you ever inflated or inspected it before? We’ll also talk about life jacket maintenance. We’ll briefly discuss harnesses‚ tethers‚ and jacklines as well.
